Dyeing your hair with lemon juice is a great alternative to chemical dyes which are harmful to hair. It can be used creatively to lighten or highlight the color. Below is the step-by-step guide on how to dye your hair with lemon juice
- Preparing the Dye: Take lemons according to your requirement the hair length you want to cover (full or just highlights).
- Apply: Boil a cup of water in which the juice of the lemons will be mixed in equal volume. You can also add orange juice if your hair are more dry.
- In the Sun: Put the mixture in a spray bottle and spray it on entire hair. After covering your hair, run a hair brush through your hair. Now it is time to soak the sun and for that you will have to sit under direct sunlight for about 1 hour. Apply some sun protection cream on your face, neck, arms and other parts of the body that will be directly under the sun. After an hour, repeat the process of applying the lemon juice and soak the sun for another half an hour.
To add different color tones, you can use a variety of natural ingredients like Cassia that gives a hair a golden glow, Chamomile Tea that gives nice golden highlights and Cinnamon puts a brown, golden tinge to your hair.
